Using the self driving option requires a lot of common sense. This is like using auto pilot on aircraft. The self driving option should not be used in heavy traffic or wet or snow covered roadways. Imagine using the self driving option on I-70 driving thru Colorado. That would be inviting disaster. Self driving option would be great for straight level Interstate roadways. Let's be real here this technology will never take away the jobs of professional drivers. I predict that this technology will be an excuse to increase the hours of service. That will not be a good thing. Self driving trucks will make the professional drivers drivers jobs easier similar to auto pilot with aircraft.
