How is this not one of the greatest guitar solos of early rock ‘n’ roll?? James Burton rocks!

I remember when this great arrangement first appeared on the old Ozzie & Harrier TV show...it is undoubtedly one of his best from April 1958

"Believe What You Say" is a song written by Dorsey Burnette and Johnny Burnette in 1958. Backing Ricky is Gene Garf on piano, James Kirkland on stand up bass, Richie Frost on drums and James Burton on lead guitar.

One of the best rockers Ricky ever did.Great guitar by James Burton. This music knocks spots off todays crap they call music.I seem to think the two dislikes concerning this song must be from spice girl fans

To me, James's guitar break on this is just the best, bar none!

I pre-ordered the 45 rpm 7 inch single back then....still plays beautifully....with surprising harmonic range...

They say that Elvis was a real lady's man, but I bet there weren't too many women that said no to Ricky either.

Ricky shines on this song composed especially for him by rockabilly pioneer Johnny Burnette.
Guitarist extraordinaire James Burton (later on stage with Elvis Presley during the seventies) plays one more classic solo at 0:50 on his Rickenbacker guitar.
