What is it's purpose? genuine curiosity.

No noise cancellation (passive and active)

No privacy (like headphones and earphones provide)

If watching TV why do you need to connect to a solo player (home theatre set would be way better for whatever 360 sound experience is)

The way the sound waves travel and the way our ears work, it may not be more effective than other in/on/around ear products
