Nice Job. well explained. I like to apply my base coat in the same manner, although I use the 2nd control coat only on spray sensitive colours or high met hoods. Most cases it's not necessary as chroma base controls mottle better than others, I do like to apply my 2nd control coat across the grain and a great distance slowly as if I’m dropping the colour on gently. It works very well, even on the most difficult colours.

Excellent work. Is there a product replacement or similar product to HC2300 clearcoat. I believe that was the Chroma code
It was a great clear for blends that didn’t require clearing the entire panel. It’s been illegal for decades here in Calif but what an amazing product.
