I’m trying, but the new marvel stuff just doesn’t look that great. I’m all for giving the all girl power structure in a movie a chance, but this just looks terrible. Why do they have to lean into the teen girl vibe so hard? The cat army looks cool at least 🤷🏼‍♂️. Edit to add: marvel has forgotten its base - those who read comics in the days of paper and ink. Female characters can be powerful too, but this looks so awkward.

I miss when the main characters in a marvel movie took their situation seriously and didn’t make one liners in extremely dire moments. Marvel movies where you could actually take it seriously. What happened?

EDIT: I guess people don’t understand what exaggeration is. Let me clarify that I am aware that marvel movies have always had one-liners, however, they weren’t always so repetitive and numerous. There were one-liners sure, but they also established good villains and threats in their movies. Now you can’t even take the villains seriously because the heroes don’t even take it seriously. For example, In the first captain America movie, Steve didn’t make a cheeky one liner every other second while he was fighting Redskull because Steve was busy actually fighting him and trying to save America. Now try to tell me a marvel movie that has come out in the last 2 years where the main villain was actually frightening and a looming presence.
