Will Young calls for ban on animal testing

Singer Will Young says he was in "shock" when he found out that "2,000 dogs in the UK are tested on in a year" and describes how he handcuffed himself to the gate of a legal puppy farm in protest.

Mr Young, a self-described dog lover, says "we don't need to be doing these tests on dogs", as he called for immediate ban for testing on dogs.

Beagle puppies tortured. Their mums forced to breed to death. Shame on all the silly comments here. Humankind will never change until we stop animal suffering. Sign the petition and help. Remember these awful companies who breed dogs for toxicology testing are also tax payer funded and given huge government grants,

I'm afraid his petition will be in vain, for we live in a dog-eat-dog world (pardon the expression), where no one gives a toss anymore except for themselves (and their nearest-and-dearest). The powers that be will always succeed, and what us mortals do or say, will make little difference. Protesting and things of that nature are sadly pointless now a days.
