How Jolt REALLY Died in the Transformers 2. 1 character was completely underplayed and forgotten would have to be the Autobot Jolt. Which is mainly attributed to his last minute inclusion in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Originally Michael Bay didn't feel that the character was necessary for the film. However the writers were able to convince him that Jolt would feel like a true member of the main Autobot roster. However the electrically charged bot got minimal screentime and was only given a name shoutout once. And used to aid in combining Optimus and Jetfire. Apparently Jolt was trained more as a healer than as a warrior. Which is why he would occasionally avoid confrontations with Decepticons. Unfortunately he found himself in a situation where he had no choice when Shockwave intruded the Autobot fortress. His electric whips had little to no effect on the Decepticon. And he was gunned down. This is...

It’s really a shame that most of the Autobot cast in Revenge of the Fallen have minimal screen time, in exchange for more wacky Skidds and Mudflap shenanigans. And why were they the only two who “fought” Devastator?! Imagine how cool a whole 5v1 battle would’ve been? Showing both how much of a beast Devastator is, and how well the Autobots work as a team.

Jolt was one of the coolest designs in the Bayverse movies

In the comics it was said he was a willing warrior and had to be told by multiple Autobot leaders to stay back at base. He wanted to fight all the time so not sure about being more of a healer than fighter.

The charecter with the least screentime ( likely why no kne questioned why he wasn't in 3) but still sucks he was killed IMO. The writers convinced Bay but also didn't have Jolt more involved in battle, wow.

Jolt felt like a normal, full member of the team because he was!!
and even though he only had a little screen time, he is one of my absolute favorites from the Transformers universe because I think he is very well done in terms of his appearance and his role in the films, comics, etc!!!🙂✌🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
