The gold in Ft Knox has been systematically sold/leased into the market over the yrs to suppress the gold price. Pretty sure that gold is in Asia now.

Gold has a history of always holding value since the beginning. If the USA had a gold backed digital currency they would win. I haven't seen USA wanting to give up any gold.

Tbh, China seems to know what it is doing. My connecting flight was in Guangzhou 2 years ago and I was amazed how advanced they are. 30 years ago they were riding bicycles. They know something we don't.

Why make miners move out? Seems the more likely path would have been to confiscate the mining equipment and crack down instead of making all of this move out of the country. And other countries accepting with no questions. Its not like they are seeking asylum or coming from war torn areas. Seems a little fishy to me.

I liked what you said overall; however, as a Chinese descendant when you spoke of the opium war and say it's basically the silver war. I believe you are wrong, they may be connected but largely it was two different huge issue going on at the same time. That is to say if 100 years later, some Chinese dude says the north America opium crisis was really an inflation crisis. I bet that would trigger some people too. Anyways, overall the presentation is well done and the points are not lost.

BTC may take long. Yet if we think about actual 'settlement' versus the old systems; BTC will eventually drive all velocities. There is PLENTY of room to go beyond the initial stages.
