Houston City Council Meeting Goes Bad

Shouting erupted Friday outside Houston's city council chambers after a special meeting was called to discuss a ballot initiative for firefighter pay.

I’m really shocked to hear some of the negative comments about firefighters below. The truth is that regardless Of how many hours a week they spend working, they are doing a job that has inherent risks, and they are literally putting their own lives on the line to keep other people safe. There should be no question about whether or not they should get a raise.

Government workers unions are an abomination. Unions should only be allowed in a competitive environment. Example: union construction workers realize their employers are competing with non-union employers; therefore, the unions must deal with the competition. There is no non-union fire department to keep the union fire department in line.

Here's the question, if it so important why does the news media only talk about it for only 2minutes, but talk about other issues all day long I'm sick of seeing news all day about nothing and it goes for channels 2, 11,13,26 at 4:00pm, 5:00, 6:00, 11:00am,12:00 PM and now at 4:00am, 4:30am and all the dam commercial on tv, but not the real problem going on in Houston, FCC really mess up by giving the fake news companies no rules about how much commercial they can get, I know people are going to say that I'm being unfair, but is it to listen to all this stuff, but if you tune in at 10:00pm they will tell you the story, I say we should complain to the FCC and get them to reduce their programs to 6:00pm and 10:00pm .
