Great video! I'm loving these trips through my childhood! I first got into Fords around the EL/AU days, which admittedly pretty dark with the impressive VT and HRT dominating the race track. We got it back when the BA arrived. I was recently looking at buying an old Falcon but ended up buying an old Jag. I wouldn't mind a 3rd car, though!!!

I miss my EL Fairmont! I manual swapped it and added a full sports Ghia interior. One of the best cars I've owned.

AU ll XR8 220kw owner, boot panel rusts at the back, and at the lower strut base. The Tickfords are special though !!

I had an au2 xr8 great car..then I bought a ba2 xr8 and now an au3 xr8..all great cars but there is something special about the Tickys and the little Windsor's have that magical sound

Cool video man me being a panel beater spray painter mechanic by trade I love My Tickford e series one xr6 xh T5 Ute is rare like your saying so I brought another one it’s a manual as well there value is around 15 grand mines slightly modified well both are modified and yes I brought one of the last sets of xr front blinkers from aussie restorations on eBay for $460 a set my Utes when there Finished with fully detailed suspension drive, lines engine undercarriage all done in mint paint work will be worth quite a bit im also huge fan of the mighty AU intech engines and both my Utes are running those engines my navy blue Ute i blew the original Xr engine up hard core doing a burn out and I was lucky enough to find a fully rebuilt red xr tickford series one au intech and it runs that engine perfectly in my xh not a fan of the twin cam Barra as I like the sound of the mighty intech au that’s pretty much bullet proof tested and proven over and over and as far as leaf springs go when there set up right and lowered mine out handles the newer model falcons and is perfect for drifting

Great video mate, but you did forget to mention how hard it is to find the xr bonnets in good nick. Also where did you get your floor mats haha, they look amazing i cant find any, anywhere

I had an EL GLi some years ago with a 5 speed manual. Loved that car but ended up selling it because it was always snapping clutch cables and the mechanic couldn't (or couldn't be bothered to) work out why. Traded it for an AU XR8 auto which handled way better, but was barely any quicker in a straight line and used heaps more fuel...

I got a black au 2 xr6 vct 182k with tickford sunroof but recently i have bought another its the xh xr6 t5 navy blue with el xr front end.
I reckon i done allright.

You’re probably sick of hearing about my Utes seems there isn’t many people into them as much as I am I love em because to me they are the perfect Ute I see them as business at the front party 🎉 at back with the EF front and 80s XD rear end anyway my videos will change in a few weeks as I’ve brought my own place with a shed on a double block room to move people will see me do lots more hands on in my videos in my own shed and space not renting in the cbd I’ll be in my home town we’re I grew up in the country 😊 doing what I love

E - series is rubbish compared to the AU. It's all in the front end, the AU was revolutionary in its setup.
