For the most part, mystics are engaged in acquiring skills that will enable them to have visions, unitive experiences, possession states, and so forth. In a few cases, however, the purpose of mystical practice is to produce personal transformation. What I love the most about Natural Born Mystics is that they know their KNOWLEDGE of how the UNIVERSE works are not for themselves but for👉OTHERS.

I easily checked yes to all of these questions-but the first one made me pause-As the shadow reveals itself more clearly, I am finding that even this question “am I a mystic” is suspect of ego roots, and I wonder if saying that I am a mystic or anything other than human is my ego or my self. My intuition is being severely tested these days. I have been grieving the death if my ego for the past several wee, is, though that may sound silly-it’s how I survived until now-and everything seems a bit uncertain without it. Shadow work has left me taking accountability for the many titles that I have used to define myself: mystic, intuitive, enlightened….are just the few relevant to this conversation. What if the insight that I have into others is only a result of whatI have experienced in this life and past lives, I now understand that my intuition and mystic abilities are deeply rooted in generational trauma, and wonder if by letting the ego die-letting the trauma be-how will I hold on to and be able to hear my intuition without it?.
