Telegram Ban in India? 😯

Telegram could be banned in India. Yes, you heard it right. Recently, the founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov got arrested in France and he’s accused of failing to control criminal activities on the app. Now Indian Government has also started investigating Telegram actively for its use in criminal activities such as extortion, gambling and even exam paper leaks. If the the app is charged with these illegal activities, it could potentially be banned from India. Now, this is HUGE because there are more than 100 Million Telegram users in India.

It shouldn't be banned. It is a horrible idea to ban an app that is so useful. In the past, i used Telegram primarily for movies but now i don't. I now use it for study. I'm a student of English Literature and there are so many groups dedicated to literarue, so many books to read, all the litchart, gradesaver can be found there. There's this group for UGC NET and i cannot possibly afford to loose access to it. And there's of course anime. Banning shouldn't be the right option. Its a platform and people might misuse it but the good far outweighs the bad. It would be horrible decision

From movies, series, anime to books and various notes for competitive exams, etc... this app is like magic for us students.

But the smart minds will ban the app, instead of minimising the acts committed on it

Unlike other people I use it for mainly chatting. I avoid WhatsApp as it's pretty public, anyone can message me if they have my number. Which is not the case in tele, which I like. The privacy in tele is really good

Why are they doing this... telegram is so useful for exam preparation as you can get a lots of study materials like pdf... voice classes ....polls etc for free....not everyone is rich in india 🤬🤬

Telegram was mainly for downloading Movies, sending huge files and also if I remember in one of your videos you had said to use telegram for Backup of photos and videos, so was using for that!😢😢😢
