I avoid as many "CROWDED" places as much as possible. Concerts, sporting events, protests, Boxing Day shoppig madness, parades etc.

A: Stay away from crowds. They are often VDZ's anyhow. I avoid.

2: know your exits at all times and keep your situational awareness on.

GREAT advice. One of my top rules is to stay out of crowds. I have a plan for the grocery store which is the most crowded place I ever go. I know where the back exits are and that's where I will head rather than out the front.

Move away from center mass of the crowd look for the edges of the crowd even along walls and corridors - those have the doors and other exits, but never be cornered.

Good suggestions..but its easier said than done though..I've been through it first hand..crowded SF Giants parade in 2012..at one point in the crowd we were all SMASHED together and there is literally NOTHING you can do
