I caught so called covid while on kidney dialysis. I was admitted to hospital in the infectious ward, I was slightly short of breath as you would be with any respiratory illness. A junior doctor in my first night in hospital said that if I didn’t improve in the next 24 hours they would consider putting me on a respirator. I was only 47 years old. I lost my temper and made it clear I will not go on a respirator. I truly believe I saved my own life that day. I have now had a kidney transplant and am doing great 3 years later. The people who put fear into the population of our country should now be held accountable.

My dear mom had dementia when she was diagnosed with Covid and was kept in the hospital with no visitors, of course. The doctor told me laughingly that when they told her she had Covid, she said, “I thought you were supposed to be sick with that!” She didn’t even feel sick and they said that she had Covid. Fortunately I was calling continually, and they released her from the hospital. If I hadn’t been constantly checking, they probably would have put her on a ventilator and she would have “died of Covid”.
