I first heard his songs on spotify and then I wanted to check the video. I felt like the landscape and music called me in a very strange, deep way and told myself, yeah it's the andes but probably Peru or Chile so not exactly home, but then I checked on wikipedia he was actually in my home, Bolivia and I cried so hard... It was like my home was calling and I felt it through the music, it was absolutely beautiful.

What I have always found beautiful about this song is that even as a native speaker of Spanish it's difficult to make out what he says in some parts, and it's this aspect that makes it even more hypnotic. The feeling is kind of difficult to express but it's the closest I've ever been to listening to my own language without understanding it completely, I wonder whether other Spanish speakers have had a similar feeling Lo que siempre me ha resultado hermoso de esta canción es que, incluso como hablante nativo de español, algunas partes son difíciles de entender, y es este aspecto el que lo hace más hipnótico aún. La sensación es difícil de expresar pero nunca he estado tan cerca de escuchar mi propio idioma y no entenderlo completamente. Me pregunto si otros hispanohablantes han tenido un sentimiento parecido....
