I can testify that in 2016 I stopped listening to secular music. I can't even begin to explain how much of a difference it made in my mindset. I listen to all kinds of genres of Christian music. I feel heartbroken for her.. Before I was saved I would listen to her music and followed her story of how she grew up and got into stripping then ultimately the music industry. Many people, including Christians, don't want to hear from women who have a past similar to hers but Cardi is just as valuable to God as anyone else on this earth. Music was so powerful for me personally. If I listened to secular music I’d immediately experience feeling and acting differently. Music has a lot of power to draw us into darkness very quickly.

I don’t usually comment on YouTube videos. Just read the comments. But, I definitely believe what she’s saying. The reason why is because, in June of 2021 I was literally dancing with the devil. I felt this constant feeling of being in a Mary-go-round and not being able to get off. I was drinking and smoking, and engaging in sexual activity on the daily instead of leaning into god, repenting and picking up my cross. I would listen to Cardi B so much. Like, I can sing her lyrics verbatim. Then something happened in my life and I was able to get clean 100%. I quit drinking and smoking and really started to allow god to heal me and work through me so I could be used for his kingdom. I started listening to worship music and stopped listening to secular music. I thought I could listen here and there but, anytime I put on a cardi b song, I feel dark and back on that mary-go-round ride. Like that’s not me, this isn’t glorifying music. Talking about being the best, be better than others, getting money, popping off all that… it doesn’t glorify his kingdom. The thing is, I feel cardi B does have a relationship with God but she’s at a point of needing to repent and be delivered. Pray for her. Pray for these celebrities. Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess. Our job is to be disciples and spread the gospel. Not sugar coat it to fit our agendas. Pray that she has someone in her community willing to tell her what she needs to hear and not what she wants to hear.
