This version of the theme is a lot more chilling, especially with the added vocals. John Carpenter is a legend!

It just amazes me how a song from the late 70's is still so chilling to hear today. 😱

Michael Myers is to me the scariest slasher in horror history. Hes human like the rest of us..but what sets him apart from everyone else is his uncontrollable urge to kill anyone he sees. He never runs towards his victims because he doesnt need to...the terror he fills them with is enough to paralize them long enough for him to walk up and murder them in gruesome fashion.

Goosebumps when I heard this in the theater.

“I met him….15 years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding, even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this…..six year old child with face and….the blackest eyes….the devil’s eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy’s eyes was…..purely and simply……..evil.”- Dr. Samuel Loomis, 1978

I love how the theme gets more intense as the movies progress. Halloween Ends is gonna be spine chilling music.

I love this so much. The choir might make people think it should be for Ends, but I think of this as a representation to Michael transcending in this film. Every kill he gets, the more he transcends and this theme really emphasizes that because of the crazy killing spree he is going on.

Sounds like Halloween 2 with chorus and synth… perfect

One saying i heard once was
"An act of vengeance carried out by a peaceful person can be far more destructive than an act of evil carried out by a monster."
This movie was a perfect example of that saying. The most terrifying thing about this movie wasn't Michael, but all the "good" people that rallied to hunt him and finish him. And none of them were wearing masks. A perfect example of just how bad fear can consume us, and makes monsters of us all.

I think people who disliked this movie so much clearly didn't understand what this movie was doing. I mean, it's right on the title— Halloween Kills. It is all about Michael and how his art in killing affects the people and the town.

It is all about the kills. And I loved it. In a way I see this as the Michael's revenge kind of vibe.

Not sure if this is the unpopular opinion but I love this movie. It's my third favorite in the franchise and I was entertained all the way through.

I remember thinking how they could do the pumpkin opening again and make it feel fresh after the previous films, and having multiple pumpkins, culminating to a pumpkin being burned to a crisp certainly did not disappoint.
Very curious to see how they top themselves in the next film.

Crazy how many times this theme can be changed over 40 years and still sound fresh that's badass tbh

I love how John Carpenter and his team keep outdoing themselves with the music. Like seriously, the music for these new Halloween movies are stellar

This might sound odd but Halloween Kills seemed to have a well written script with characters especially with flashbacks from 1978 and present. Plus there were twists that I never saw coming.
