BPC-157 is a fascinating peptide that has an affinity for the gastrointestinal system and the musculoskeletal system. This video covers the basics of BPC-157 and how I use this peptide in patients.

If you’re new to my channel, my name is Dr. Drew Timmermans, ND, RMSK. I’m the founder of Regenerative Performance in Gilbert, AZ, specializing in interventional orthobiologics, which is just a fancy way of saying we help people reclaim their life from chronic pain without steroids or surgery. We challenge the conventional pain management approaches by addressing the root causes of chronic pain.

How I got here…

22 yrs old: Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
23 yrs old: Competed as a long sprinter, anchoring the 4x400m relay to a silver medal at the Canadian national championships, contributing to Western's first national title in men's track and field.
23 yrs old: Started working as a personal trainer for GoodLife Fitness in Canada, quickly becoming one of the Top 10 Personal Trainers nationwide.
23 yrs old: Herniated two discs in my lower back, ending my track and field career and sending me into a multi-year battle with chronic pain.
24 yrs old: Enrolled at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences) after discovering my passion for naturopathic medicine.
26 yrs old: Still battling chronic back pain, I finally became pain-free through a platelet-rich plasma injection.
28 yrs old: Graduated and become a licensed naturopathic doctor.
29 yrs old: Completed the first-ever residency in regenerative medicine and integrative pain management at the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine.
29 yrs old: Co-founded Regenerative Performance to help people with chronic pain just as I had been helped.

Today: We help people who have chronic joint pain reclaim their life with cutting edge treatments like platelet rich plasma, and stem cell therapy.

To everyone battling chronic pain, remember that your story is still being written.

Never give up.

I have noticed for best healing for myself is to inject sub q as close to the injury as possible. Oral made my gut feel great and fixed my gut issues. Sub Q right near my herniated disc is really helping a lot

I hear different conflicting information about using BPC by patients having early cancerous tumours (non malignant). Some say the angiogenesis can cause progression, some say just the opposite. What is your view doc?

I'm now starting my 4th week with bcp157 using 20iu twice a day and tb500 20iu twice a week for a torn ligament. Still early days so not much improvement yet apart from my skin being much softer 🤞

I think it’s great we finally found something that really helps people with you terrible side effects and addiction. But in order to get the real deal you have to go through a doctor to get it. It then cost an arm and leg.

I think I'm going to try this. 2 1/2 years post tibular tendinitis caused by transitioning to barefoot running too fast. Agonizing injury off and on. Trying percussion therapy (Theragun) now. I think I'll try the pills rather than injecting since it's in the foot/ankle.

For narrowing arthritic L4/L5 (mild nerve compression) and arthritics knees, , , is rapid release better than delayed release BPC-157?

Hey Dr. Timmermans. Very informative lecture! Thank you!! I had a microdiscectomy on my L5-S1 from a disc herniation about 4 years ago. This was after over a year of a pinched sciatic nerve. Till this day I still have lingering sciatic/ scar tissue pain and havent gotten my mobility back even with chiro appointments and stretching. Would peptides benefit me at all? Thanks!
