In my younger days I would clean my apartment thoroughly, do laundry and grocery shopping all in one day.

I still live in an apartment, but now I do a little bit of cleaning each day, laundry on one day and grocery shopping another day.

I don’t have the non-stop energy anymore and I’ve also realized one or two things out of place now make me feel like my apartment is messy.

You are right when you say you don’t need to do it all in one day and that at some stages of life good enough is good enough.

A great way to clean ceiling fans is either with a long sock on your hand or with in a pillow case. Put it over each fan slat then wipe. With the latter, the dust falls into the pillowcase and not on the bed! ... if you can reach, of course!

I do a good job of keeping my house neat and tidy. Kitchen is clean, beds are made, etc. We are empty nesters so it's easier than in the past. But, where I have dropped the ball is cleaning, especially deep cleaning. I haven't kept with a schedule and don't know where to start so I just hit or miss! You've inspired me and motivated me to get my house deep cleaned for spring. Thanks for the video.

I used to do Spring cleaning every year and Fall cleaning every year...same as spring cleaning but in the fall. Then I saw someone on YT "Spring Clean" every day and liked this ideas better. For every room in my house I made a list on an index of the things that I would clean during "Spring Cleaning ". I listed them in the order I would clean them...from the top to the bottom of the room. I spend 15 min - 30 min per day working on checking off the things that need to be done on that one index card. When I get through the all of the index cards (rooms) I start over. My house is never more than at most 2 months from having been deep cleaned. My house is now mostly decluttered so I can also go through cabinets and closets on the room I'm working on at this time and declutter/straighten them as I go. I do this in addition to my daily and weekly cleaning. I wish I would have known about or thought abought this earlier.

My husband rubbed a light coating of turtle wax on all my stainless appliances. No fingerprints and no streaking. Stains wipe right off.

We are going into Autumn here in Australia...beautiful warm days but noticeably, much cooler nights. Thanks to your inspirational one hour long vlog (thank you & go you!), I will be doing a deep clean here as well; getting the house ready for winter...washing the blankets for the couches and beds, dusting out the fireplace, packing up the outdoor cushions, finishing up harvesting the veg patch, putting in compost and then planting the new seedlings for winter. It doesn't matter where we live in this beautiful world, there's always lots to do! Sending love to you all <3

I channeled my inner Robin earlier today when I discovered some crumbs and possibly a dead bug 😲in a kitchen drawer. I took everything out, grabbed my hand vac and cleaning spray and did the thorough cleaning that I thought would take too long but it really didn't! This was relaxing to watch on a cold and rainy day in NC (a dusting of snow this morning!). I feel motivated to tackle the bathrooms this week - my least favorite cleaning chore. Hi Robin – your house looks amazing and I can see the sparkles all the way here in Dallas. Rebecca, Rachel and I came to Melissa‘s a few days ago to help her celebrate her birthday. Rebecca works at a college in our town and she’s off on spring break. Rachel‘s off too. And I have been permanently Off since I retired in 2010. Yesterday we went shopping in a small town close to Dallas that had a wonderful local restaurant with the amazing food. It was a lot of fun and the weather was gorgeous. It had a old time Square with the most unbelievable courthouse that had been used for filming westerns. I just enjoyed sitting on a bench and watching the people and feeling the cool breeze while the girls were doing some antique shopping. Your video has me so inspired to get home and start working on my house. I even placed a curbside order to pick up when we come into town tomorrow so I will be set up to eat healthy. I really want to get back on a good eating program after all the milkshakes and ice cream I’ve eaten over the last week when I had my oral surgery. I bet you feel so great about your house. I always thought about whoever bought your house in Austin because it was so well-maintained and you’re doing the same thing in this house. I bet you cannot wait to be able to get out and work in your yard. Your property looks so pretty. Thank you so much sweet friend for all the effort you put forth in putting out your great videos.
