Apache Helicopters Fly Over Los Angeles February 10, 2012

I heard these helicopters and ran outside with my camera. They were flying from the east, over Mt. Wilson, heading west towards Los Angeles. Probably training of some sort, or maybe the zombie apocalypse has started... I'm rooting for the latter.

@checksandbalences I live in Huntington Park and i heard this noise, sounded kind of like a dog whistle, then my ears started hurting so i went outside and looked up and saw hundreds of birds flying west. Then a fast moving white object flew by heading south. It was like a silent low flying jet, and my house started shaking, so i thought the object was coming back, but no. This time it was helicopters heading south in the direction of the white object. I counted 21 helicopters

Correct. They are USMC AH-1W Cobras. Probably from Camp Pendelton.

it was a C-130 not an AC-130.

@rubertidom @reddot44 @TheAntonkr That's because All AC-130's are based out at AFSOC's Hurlburt Field in Destin Florida. They have a huge gun range to the north and do a lot of live fire training missions up there.

Rest assured, nothing bad is happening.

I haven't seen or heard any helicopters but a lot of my friends have said helicopters have been flying over their houses yesterday and today here in Indiana. So I don't know whats going on.

I'm in Destin Florida and I just saw an AC-130. WWIII has obviously begun.

Those are not Apache helicopters. They look and
sound like
Cobra helicopters.
