Thousands flock to Ottawa for Canada 150 celebrations

Reporter Amanda Ferguson was in the nation’s capital for Canada 150 celebrations. Hundreds of thousands from across the country braved the rain, heavy security and long lines just to show the country some love.

Everyone who complained throughout the video brought the troubles on themselves. I breezed through the security line with no wait at 8:00am, brought food, water, umbrellas, and rain ponchos. I was prepared, and it paid off by being able to enjoy a full days-worth of entertainment from the front row. There were performers that I knew and some that I've never heard of, but plan on listening to more. I'm happy that there was only two access points and the security was a main focus. With all the terrorism going on in the world, it's better to be patient than be sorry. My only concern was the lack of pump sinks and soap for the porta-potties.
