You’re the poet of photography :) 50mm f2 is amazing, is a little gem/wonder. I also bought the 56mm from Viltrox and I’m amazed by the quality for this price.

This is my favorite lens. It is very sharp and the autofocus is quick and accurate.

I can only confirm your thoughts. This Fujifilm lens just feels right. I've used it on the X-Pro2, the X-T4 and, now, on the X-H2. If anything, its performance has improved as I've upgraded camera bodies over the years. It's just so reliable and, as you have shown, it delivers great images in the right hands.

I love my 50 f2. I call it my mini 90 f2. They pair so amazing together. I also have a viltrox 56 f1.4 and it has some cool character. It is definitely a different different paintbrush to create with compaieed to the 50 f2.

Funnily enough I just got one of these, just over £200 in pristine condition. Takes some getting used to if used for street but it's surprisingly versatile, I was half expecting to be stuck in close up/portrait mode when using it.

I love everything about this lens. I was shocked how good it is regardless of size and price. I don’t use it as much as I should because documenting family life usually requires something a little wider however I can’t seem to part with it.Another great video, 🙏.

It was my first lens aside from the kitlens, it is amazing, allow me to take distance and get the shot, it's so sharp, tiny, lightweight. I use it a lot.

Lovely video and some very nice shots in there. I love your use of isolating one colour in a photo, like a strong red or orange that stands out from its surroundings. Looks like a lovely little lens and it's tempting. If I didn't already have two manual 50mm ones I'd be checking it out. Soon as I saw those chimneys I thought ahah I know where that is - they make for some great shots! Thanks again, you take a lovely photo, enjoyed this :) 👍

I can't Wait to see your comparison between XF 50mm F2 and the Viltrox 56mm F1.7!

My 40 year old Olympus 50mm f1.4 is fantastic on my x-t3 (with adapter) - the quality/density of glass gives a film like rendition. Manual focus which is easy with zebras and a smooth motion - the lens looks and feels great. You can pick these up at a fraction of the Fuji 50mm f2 🤔

You are costing me a lot of money…..😂 I was toying with the idea of this lens or the 56mm f1.2…..it will be this lens….thank you.

Fine snow pics, Aris. My preference is for black lenses; they don't stand out and draw attention as much as the silver ones. I gave Fuji a good try but their AF performance was just too unreliable.

I have Viltrox 75/1.2 and its crazy sharpening lens.

I still shoot with the X-T3. I was about to list my lovely 23mm f2 on classifieds and was thinking about getting the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 pro.

I don't shoot professional. I mainly shoot family pictures and events.

But somehow I felt getting a heavier and a bigger lens might make me lazy and not want to take my camera in the first place.

23mm f2 is not very clinical at f2 in minimum focussing distance. It's good enough post f2.8 and be in par once past f5.6.

For my shooting, I feel adding a flash would make much more sense than buying a fast lens.

I have the fuji 56 1.2 though for portraits. But, I use the 23mm more..😂
