It's been so soooo long. Wow. Sorry about that! School kept me busy and this animatic had soooo many frames I wanted to die halfway bUT I DID IT! AND HERE IT IS! AND I REALLY HOPE Y'ALL LIKE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

Also a little bit of trivia: I kinda based off the stairs to those things you see in movies, where they have so many stairs that's upside down and in all diff. angles mixed together, to make a maze of sorts. And the "ROOM" is kind of like the exit, so that's why Burr's chasing it so badly~

Honestly, not a huge huge hammy fan but sometimes youtube takes you places and im really glad it did. This is so artfully done and really I personally strive to be able to have this kind of spacial and theatrical ability in my works one day. I absolutely love your use of size as a dramatic catalyst as well as your use of dystonic imagery. Your visuals stay in line with the song and the whole musical in a extremely proficient way and honestly I wouldn't change much. I love the nods to M.C. Escher's work as well as your use of the door as unreachable. Then how you used the light and windows-- ahhhh its so good! Seriously, this is really great. I'd be fun to see it all polished up and properly animated, but then again, so many hours in the day. haha.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but if they do a Hamilton movie it may work better animated. The symbolism used in this video adds more to the layers that Burr already had as a character. Rather than just bringing the stage to film more nuance can be discovered through animation.

One of the best lines repeated in Hamilton: "If you stand for nothing, Burr, what do you fall for?"

This is the song that made me love Burr. Yes he screwed up... a lot. He could even be called spineless for not standing up for his views, whatever they were. But I believe he was also very misunderstood. He wanted to preserve himself and his family while still being in "the room where it happens" but could never quite get there. He blamed Hamilton because 1. He did have a lot to do with it and 2. He didn't want to blame himself. At the end, when he realizes he killed his only friend, he's overcome with guilt and the realization that he is essentially the most hated man in America. I guess I just have a lot of sympathy towards Burr, he could never win.

I like what you did with Burr in this, and how you portrayed Hamilton. Hamilton was reckless, immature, and well... a bitch, especially to Burr (historically, i suppose, not AS much in the musical but he was still portrayed as incredibly reckless) and Hamilton shooting down Burr constantly in a condescending and rude manner instead of professional (to clarify: shooting someone in a duel is not professional either) is just... accurate.

0:30 Burr's laugh can be interpreted many ways by many different artists... Here it makes him look sort of hurt, like he was just trying to lighten the mood but then Hamilton lashed out on his well-meaning advice and idk if that was your intention but it goes sO WELL
0:39 Hamilton literally SHOVES HIS HAND OFF?? omg rude?? Burr was actually concerned, or at least trying to be sympathetic, and Hamilton just shook that off like it meant nothing
0:46 thAT CONDESCENDING LITTLE LOOK. 'Decisions are happening over dinner. Go run off now, I might talk to you after I'm done talking with the other grownups.'
1:15 Not entirely related but seeing Burr inspect the tiny room from a grand height is pERFECT. It's a little thing that shouldn't bother him (so what if you weren't invited? this has like nothing to do with you) but it does anyway
1:45 Again, not related but i LAUGHED SO HARD AT ALEX'S SARCASTIC 'DAMSEL IN DISTRESS' POSE AHAHAHA
(You know what, I'm gonna start just commenting on my favorite parts. Because I'm lazy to keep to my theme.)
2:13 When it said 'the pieces that get sacrificed' and the chess piece went to squash Burr, I actually softly muttered a 'oh shit that's good' out loud
3:01 I loved this image too much, and I'm not even sure why.
The whole Burr-Hamilton confrontation was priceless. Hamilton looked so snarky and condescending, while you can see Burr visibly alarmed like 'well i certainly didn't expect that', and as Hamilton continues to talk he gets more and more.... I don't know if frightened's the right word?? But then he falls and no one moves to help him and uGH that was so good.
4:34 and 5:01 reminded me of the 'Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb' lyric. Now everything's reversed, and Burr continues to go and go even though he's getting nowhere.
And then there was that leap of faith jump

thAT WAS SUCH A GREAT ENDING!!!
