my dad had a really cool cable oiler system you may try one if you can find one, we had carb cables hang up some times. looking forward to seeing you kick some 4 stroke at the wick.

YO MATTY Check the gap clearance at the top of your piston. I found out the hard way that I didn't have enough base gaskets for my cylinder, and it did the exact same thing that yours did when you had to leave the track. 2/3 throttle and pinging like crazy. Just an idea for you!

Are you running MRX-02 or T2? She sounds really lean mid-throttle and if you’re running oxygenated fuel I might recommend fattening up the air screw a bit to keep her from doing that “hot plug” overrev thing that took you out of Moto 2. I had the same problem on my YZ250 a few years back.
