RIP, to the king of the B Movies.
He made Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dern, Peter Fonda, Diane Ladd, William Shatner, And Dennis Hopper stars, and influenced a lot of filmmakers today, including Martin Scoresese, James Cameron, John Sayles, Ron Howard, Joe Dante, Jonathan Demme, And Peter Bogdanovich.

Being an old time drive-in addict & a b-movie aficionado, I can't even imagine a world without Roger Corman.

Modern American cinema begins with Roger Corman. Without him, we would not have Coppola, Scorsese, Bogdanovich, Nicholson, Demme, and countless others. My very first interview at my very first San Diego Comic-con, I had the pleasure of sitting at a table with RogerCorman
As a cinephile, it was a dream come true and a very fond memory. He IS cinema; look at who started with/under him. Thank you, maestro, for decades of films.

Rock n Roll High School was my first Corman movie, couldn’t have been a better one. I can thank him for my love of punk and offbeat comedy and salacious low budget horror, he will be dearly missed.

I was surprised how much he still has upcoming. 98 years old and had as much going on as a lot of 20 year olds.

Some of my fave memories are of his films; watching with friends, family, thrilled and amazed by them LOL.
LOVED The Masque of the Red Death and The Pit and the Pendulum especially, but there are countless others.

I’ve been marathoning all of his movies, directed, or produce, or whatever since I heard of his passing. I did not know him personally, but having grown up, watching all of the wonderful movies made by all of the wonderful filmmakers that he discovered I feel like I do know him. I still break down every time Jack Nicholson breaks down crying while talking about him during the Corman’s world documentary. He will be missed always.

I loved Roger Corman’s speaking voice. He had a wonderful cadence to his voice

The final scene "The Pit And The Pendulum", with the camera swinging back and fixating on the Woman's eyes in The Iron Maiden, freaked me out as a kid, and still does today.
