A great listen. Very candid and you get all the information across without making programming seem like some magical, unreachable place to us plebs.

I'm currently about 6-7 months into my training, and definitely hitting that bit of a wall you mentioned. I find myself in a bit of a pickle because I'm now learning back-end concepts I never dove into before, and therefore copy and pasting a lot of code to make things happen. The ground hogs day feeling can make one grow weary, as you almost get into this "does anything even matter?" mentality.

Ultimately what has helped me is to do a code-a-long for a full-stack application, and then turn and take those lessons into my own full-stack app. It is sort of that "You do, we do, I do" learning mentality that permeates teaching nowadays. It gives me something personally to be invested in, while showing me directly how to implement before I take off and try myself.

I know this video is old, but thank you again for the talk. Hearing stories like this are what give me the motivation to keep learning and working towards that dream developer job.
