I was actually looking forward to your take on the GR. Looking forward to more.

Any field of view can work. The 50mm, which Henri Cartier-Bresson used, is my favorite. This being said, I use a 60mm equivalent on the GX9 and it works fine. The 40mm will work fine, with less distortion than a 28mm, and I would think easy enough framing, on the spot, but it is closer to a 35mm, which is very common. A little tighter than a 35mm a big enough difference? I don't know. I do know on the street the wide-angle of 28mm means when the camera is tilted a bit, as in fast shots, you can distort things a bit, and in really close in a portrait, things can get odd With the 50mm on up to 100mm you just can shoot with more forgiveness, really fast. I will use my 35mm today, which on busy, and tight areas, is fine. I assume the 40mm to be about the same rendering. I wonder if the next GRIII's will have a tilt screen? It is a really interesting specialized camera. With my Lumix, I can choose between a 28mm, 30mm, 50mm, 60mm, or 90mm field on view, so I am set. Yea, a little more weight perhaps, but still a great performer. Actually, there are times when that Canon RP, with the optional grip, just feels so good in hand, I want to place it up top as well. Using a 50mm or 35mm macro prime, which are inexpensive, on the RP works pretty darn good on the street. Canon colors and general rendering is very pleasing -- controls and handling is good. My right shoulder and arm does hurt at times however, so the feather-weight Ricoh GRIIIx might be an option some day. Then I will look like I am taking smartphone photos all day. 😏 Take care, Loren

i had the previous GR 1 and 2 and 3 and did not like the 28-26 mm and tiny tiny screen, not best for 40+ year old eyes, so got the Fuji Xs10 and TTartisans 28 F2.8, and love the vintage images from the TTart 27 mm, so how does the ricoh compare to Fuji images to you? ALSO, would like to see POV street photography in the romanian city you live or visit
