The Forsaken of Vanilla - Music & Ambience (1 hour, 4K, World of Warcraft Classic)

The undead Forsaken or simply the Forsaken and Undead are a race and a faction of intelligent undead who broke away from the Scourge and took control of much of the kingdom of Lordaeron, destroyed during the Third War by the death knight Arthas. The Forsaken are led by their Banshee Queen, Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, the former Ranger-General of Quel'Thalas. Their capital is the Undercity, in the royal catacombs beneath the ruins of the capital city of Lordaeron.

While comprised vastly of undead humans, the Forsaken are a diverse faction that include several different races at their biological core. However, they have all assumed their racial identity as "Forsaken," due to their shared goals and loyalties.

So I had to make this video showing the extended history of the Forsaken, starting from the Plaguelands Civil War entities.
Making this video make me read again the entire lore of the Forsaken. They were evil from the very beginning. Their allies knew it, their enemies knew it even more. Sylvanas as a warchief was not really a wise choice, but it has to be always conflinct in the World of *Warcraft.*
Anyway, I think there are some Forsaken fans left out there, one of them is Karol Wilkowski, a friend who is always here on the channel and specifically requested this video. Karol, this is for you!

The Forsaken kind of need to be shadowy and secretive. Since they are undead and were once enslaved by the Scourge, the Alliance would never have accepted them anyway, and even the Horde only begrudgingly accepted them as allies of convenience because they need a foothold on the Eastern Kingdoms, not because they actually trust or respect the Forsaken as much as the orcs, Tauren and trolls trust each other.

I thought it was really cool to include an undead playable race. Most games don’t let you play as non living beings.

I love that this track is called The Forsaken and not "the Undead"
I heard somewhere that while vanilla was in development, blizz devs used to meme about Chris Metzen lecturing them all about why they should stop calling them "undead" and use "the forsaken" instead.

This soundtrack is terrifying. You can hear the screams of tortured prisoners in the background echoing throughout the halls. This game should not have been rated T for teen. Playing this game in first/second grade probably wasn't the smartest idea.
