Why Aren’t Men Approaching Women?

Being 19 I can say a lot of guys my age don’t approach women because they fear being seen as creepy. The other half of guys that do talk to women are just using them for hookup.

The reality of this is so sad. At my place of work one of my long time coworkers who I've worked with for years, harmless dude, super honest, nice guy etc. Had said hello to another coworker, who was a female and asked how her day was. Simply because it was the polite thing to do as they were standing beside each other and he was just being a normal friendly person... Two days later he got called into the office and spoken to about how he made her feel uncomfortable and that she didn't want him to interact with her again... Weeks after that, same girl reported to HR about another employee that said "he was sexually harassing her" because he asked how she was and when she said she was a mess and full of anxiety he responded to her with "well you look good doing it" of course she took it as him hitting on her and felt "uncomfortable" because of it... So sad to me.

My son claims that he doesn't want the drama that women in his age group provides. I can see his point.

It never worked, so I stopped doing it. Getting labeled as "creepy" for a fake phone number isn't worth it.

I’m so glad I’m 54 and came up before this internet age. I really feel for yall. The excitement of going up to a young lady and starting a conversation. The let down of her shooting you down. It’s life and it shouldn’t be avoided.

Approaching women these days is like walking through a minefield. You never know when you might get blasted (hurt emotionally) because of their insults, or worse, you lose your life through divorce and/or jail. The reward isn't worth the risk. Stay single, and stay safe, guys.
