Sadly this places days are numbered and the demolition is supposed to begin in the next year and a half. It will be replaced by new luxury condos and townhouses. This house was built around 1890-1900. It was built for a wealthy tycoon family who owned multiple large textile mills in the area at the start of the Industrial Revolution. They would make there fortune in textiles as well as oil. The house remained in the same family until the Great Depression when it was abandoned for the first time.. Luckily it was saved in the 1950s and lived in until the housing market crash of 2008. Such a sad place and now covered in graffiti and vandalism. Just glad it’s atleast saved in pictures and videos! Thanks for watching

Obviously, alot of parents never gave thier kids the talk about respecting other peoples property, and that vandalism is very bad, and unacceptable behavior. Very sad.

When I was a kid, I would never have thought to destroy such a beautiful piece of history. Kids today really need to stay in school to get smart and get a job in their spare time to stay out of trouble.

This house was beautiful. It's a shame people do not have respect for property of others. Would have loved to see photos of the house when it was occupied. Great find! Wow! You have found so many beautiful old homes.

This is a beautiful mansion. It looks like they were in the middle of remodeling when it was abandoned. It doesn't look like it was ever actually lived in by the last owners. Very sad. Somebody boarded it up well but kids still got in. Thanks for going through it Kappy!

So much graffiti in one house how sad … this home was beautiful in its day… it is very heartbreaking that people cannot respect what is not Thanks Kappy for the video

What a spectacular home that must've been in its day. I wonder about the lives of who might have lived there when it was built. Sorry to see such a horrible loss from the 2008 housing crisis. And I've no words about the graffiti. Well, I HAVE words, but I can't print them here. 🤬 Thanks for capturing this one before it's completely gone. ❤

This must have been a very nice place once. It could be again, with a lot of hard work and lots of money for sheetrock and paint. But structurally it seems pretty solid. I hope some one rescues this house and restores it to its former beauty. Thanks, Kappy hope you have a good long weekend.

A wealthy person should purchase this great old home and restore and renovate it. Why demolish this beautiful historic building? It would make a great bed and breakfast.

Every abandoned homes has a story to tell.. some good stories. A home full of Love, Laughter and good times. Then there are some with sad stories. This house says its the latter. It once was built beautiful in its time but once the residents filled its walls.
Thats where its beauty was shattered.. by discord and discontment. Poor thing. 😢

That would have been an amazing B & B, wedding venue, museum, school-it's just sad to see it not only forgotten, but insulted in its last years. I was expecting to see a ballroom at some point. Have a good weekend, and thanks.

The graffiti is sooo sad to see, this home deserves so much better, but WOW it’s a pretty incredible place!!! I always wonder when you show us these homes, ‘How did this home come to be like this???’ So many stories about the lives of the people who have lived there must exist…somewhere… Thank you Kappy, God bless 💕
