I'm not EO, and mostly enjoy Todd, but I think this misrepresents EO. I don't agree with EO on many things, but have learnt to hear from themselves and not just in an echo chamber of like minded people as myself.

Be especially skeptical of someone who paints the Great Schism as a single event. Either that person is a simpleton or he's pandering to a simpleton audience. Same can be said who talks of the Bible as if it were one single book.

The Great Schism was a cebturies long process of which the mutual excommunication was a consequence of.

Ive been a Calvanist since my conversion, however I am currently a Candidate for the Catholic church. Much love for my Orthodox brothers.

I also love my protestent brothers and pray they will investigate these issues deeply.

Also, i was not weak on theology as protestants like to claim, thats simply a cope.

What an eye spiritual opening for me was who was the audience James was writing to…look at when the book was written. Thessalonians was one of the first books written. Old Testament quoted though out the n.t. It was not written yet.

The problem with Protestantism is they want to reject the Greco-Roman Church's authority on all things except, what books should be considered holy scripture.    The Greco-Roman Church can't be trusted except for, what books should be designated Holy Scripture?


Can a Protestant who is familiar with the history of the Bible reconcile that for me?


    There were several Revelations out there besides The Revelation of John out there (for example, the Revelation of Peter).  There were several gospels floating around, and there were several Apostolic epistles (pastoral letters) floating around.     There were far more than 27.

So according to Catholicism you can be saved by faith alone? Works/actions are irrelevant? Why are we here then and not in a purely spiritual realm? Theres a certain level of commitment and sacrifice that comes with acting on faith.
