I enjoy the way in which you teach Kant's theory to be applicable and not just a retaining of knowledge. I think because you used real-life examples, I had an easier understanding of the concept of the political power of the Categorical Imperative, or as you define as "not just the what, but the why." I gathered that morality, in the function provided by Kant, is a tool used by a government to produce a society that acts according to what the power structure deem just or unjust (ethics). It is a tool in that, If you can make a virtue seem universal, others will feel peer pressure to conform to the same virtue (pusher power).

Now I understand more about this theory thank you very much. I like when you called it a peer pressure theory cause it summed everything up.

Nicely explained. Examples are the best way to understand these complex philosophical writings.

Can you add videos on the 2nd and 3rd formulation as well? Your explanation is the clearest I have found

Professor Miller, I loved the explanation. It was so thorough, and I remember the examples of the maximum acceleration & $50 ! Your classes will always be my first choice, but your videos are just as good. I think hearing about the Categorical Imperative in this way helped me so much more ! Great study tool ! - Kai Lee
