What makes sustainable fuel a good innovation?

When I was in elementary school, I remember and recently found the project, but I made a project that laid out an idea I had at the time as a curious 3rd or 4th grader, that I imagined we could find a way to convert waste products, biological waste projects, into some sort of useable energy source. I talk about cow farms and city dumps and the amount of waste we create, and I imagined science will find a way to capture that energy in some form and utilize it which then at the time wasn't being utilized in any form. It was awesome to go to the city dump once I grew up and see they have invented, invested and installed underground pipe lines that capture that naturally occuring gases that build up at the city dump. But for the most part I wrote a childish mad scientists idea about converting poop or similar common things into a usable fuel. This video reminded me of that lol

Renewable diesel is awesome! No smoke, no smell, no sulfur, higher cetane, higher lubricity, lower pour point. Its a synthetic fuel. I use it if I can find it.

Biofuels is a great improvement but, if we start to implement it on a large scale, the land use might become a real problem. Best perspective is that biofuels will be just a catalyst in the shift to other source of energy

Aviation fuel and jet fuel are very different. Aviation fuel is fancy gasoline and jet fuel is fancy diesel
