The fibers in the zoom unit are there to support and distribute the air in it, it definitely does a lot. Also the hissing noise was from the air pressure which is the impact protection.

HeyChristian. Zoom air isnt actually fabric inside. Its " tensile fibres" that they fuse to the top and bottom of an air bag, and then fill up with air. It has never taken impact as well as regular air or max air units. Zoom air was made for springy cushioned responsiveness, as opposed to nikes other air units intended for impact. Zoom shoes were targeted at Guards who valued speed and court feel.
Zoom is also used for the plated marathon running shoes as propulsion

So many decades and 23 years of my skate life and finally the perfect skate shoe has cometh to us skateboarders it’s a big deal when you think about how many skate shoes they tried to make the best shoe but it’s officially here no doubt about it can’t argue this one

why didn't you cut the whole way through the cupsole? Now we cant even see the most important part which is the shape and thickness from heel to toe.

looks like it could be a double stacked zoom unit. Might be why you found it helped more.

There's no way Nyjah doesn't put better soles in his shoes

I think there’s a general misunderstanding that you need a thick insole for impact protection. That thin insole is still going a lot, especially when mixed with that advanced midsole and outsole. You should def research the science behind impact absorption

Malto got an SB Dunk. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Zoom is softer, Air unit have foam columns, but they're not as comfortable, Air units might pop, or hurt your foot off high impact landings from stairs or ledges.

Most of what you did could be seen thru the clear bottom.. the nike zoom “air” has a material to stop it from popping on impact. The absorption happens in the air not the material. & you meant “in many other nike insoles”, ive never seen a zoom imbedded in the soul only in the insole
