This video was much needed! I installed my 5.0 mod but it doesn't work. Your video showed me one thing that I missed, but that didn't fix my problem either. I can sometimes get the mod to work. It is intermittent. I hold the FM key and the "WAIT" message appears and sometimes just freezes that way. Other times, it works for a few seconds and then freezes up again. So frustrating! Thanks for your video!

I bought a chip from an auction, I did everything as in the video and I can transmit a signal, but the DMR does not receive signals, there is silence. what could be the cause?

Does anybody know if after installing the HF board and after updating to the CEC firmware, what the menus and features will be for the VHF/UHF portion of the radio? Is it like the stock firmware in VHF/UHF mode? I've watched this and other videos with the demo of features entering the HF section, However none show what the other looks like. I'm running the "Egzumer" firmware now and I'm used to the features that it brings. I wouldn't want to loose any of those upgrades when using VHF/UHF If I were upgrade and flash the CEC 0.51 firmware. Things such as, RSSI s-meter, Long press digit buttons for quick functions, fast scanning, dual action side buttons, extended backlight time, as well as.. (same screen) channel name+Frequency.

Also curious if after the board was installed and if a different firmware other than CEC was flashed again, what would happen? Loose access to the HF board functions?
