The difference in both height and RPM is simple, the SRW has taller tires . 33.169 inches on the single versus 31.8144 for the dually . This is based off of tire specs of 265/70R18 vs 235/80R 17 .

A month ago we purchased a 2024 3500 High Country long bed single rear wheel duramax. Love it! We tow a travel trailer and may upgrade to a fifth wheel at some point. We've done a couple short trips and plan two long trips in August. I'm very satisfied with the single rear wheel.

I am a Ford guy and I always made fun of the chevy independent suspension. I had a guy run off the road on my property in a chevy. He ran off the end of a concrete culvert about four feet down. When I mow that ditch its almost tipping my rider mower and its pretty boggy year round. Anyway, that damn truck not only survived the nose dive but he climbed out of the ditch on his own.

I have owned dually all of my life, I currently own a 1998 Chevy dually with a 7.4
1997 Ford F350 with a 7.3
2011 HD3500 6.0
I will never purchase any truck with a diesel today,
The 2011, will out stop the other's, the 1998 with a 7.4 will out run the rest I own.
I purchased every truck new.
Transmission's with many years are problematic, more inner rotation part's equals to high wear.
Also I believe if you are purchasing a 1 ton truck fuel mileage is not the reason to buy it.

Taller tire on the srw vs dually. That explains the difference at highway speeds

I’m surprised they don’t tell you what gear it is. Have to guess in the Ram also but it’s a lot easier to guess.

Tire height is the difference.

A SRW truck with 20s would have been even lower. The 20s are 34” tires and 18s are 33”. The dually will have closer to 32”.

You needed to have a long bed on the SRW to have a closer comparison in weight and ride.

How do you reset the trip meter? I can't figure out how to do it on my 24 HD SLT.
