I just went there 2 days ago, I can confirm it's exactly like the video! There's no better time than now to go. When Covid-19 hit the tourism industry hard, it also gives this beautiful city some moments to breathe and restore from over-tourism. Truck loads of tour groups destroyed the peacefulness of this place. If u go now, preferably on a weekday, it's not crowded at all, and u can really appreciate the beauty and charm of this city. I suggest u bring a small picnic, sit nearby the water and just relax and watch the lake, the swans etc. Life doesn't get any better than this.

Went to Hallstatt back in 2019. A very stunning and beautiful little town. And very peaceful too.
I hope Covid-19 pandemic is over soon, so we all can travel again.
