Sorry, I still freak out. I've hated the scale my entire life and still do, even though I've lost a lot of weight. I bought one for home use, but every two weeks is as often as I can bring myself to step on it. Every day seems borderline inconceivable to me. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and try it. Yes, I put way too much emphasis on what that scale tells me, but I'm trying to lose weight. What else am I supposed to do? It remains the single best barometer of progress, especially now when access to body composition testing is not so easy.
