About:

“Autism cannot define me, only I can define autism.”

Welcome to the “Autism Answers”! Our channel is dedicated to educational videos about autism. We discuss everything about Autism/ Asperger’s syndrome along with all the struggles, joy and ups and downs in this journey.

We cannot cure what is not a sickness, but we can begin to understand AUTISM and help those with the condition to unlock the potential that lies within all of us. People on the autistic spectrum go through major life transitions just like everyone else.

Their quality of life is dependent not only on the foundation laid in childhood, but also on ongoing supports that are tailored to their individual educational, medical, social, recreational, family, and employment needs.

That’s why our goal is to bring the most accurate and helpful content for all those who wish to understand autism!

Please feel free to browse our videos, comment on them and share with friends!

Some criticisms before we've even started talking about the Raymond character.

Autistic people don't "lack social imagination, which leads to them not trusting people, " they don't "not understand others' emotions" and they certainly aren't VICTIMS. In my experience (as an autistic person and having spoke with other autistic people) we tend to be credulous, possibly because we're desperate for human connection. We understand what emotions are but there's a difference in the way that we and non-autistic people express emotions which causes communication breakdowns. Autistic people understand other autistic people socially, broadly. And the victim thing i don't even need to say why that's horrendous language use.
