In regards to your first resolution, propos to you, we need that ! As a visually impaired person, audiobooks are the only way I can access literature and sighted people using and recommanding them first normalizes it and also adds commercial demand on the industry, helping even more titles being released! It's thanks to abled people that audio contents have inc reased so much! So thanks for selling the idea on a big channel like yours !!

I agree with you on feeling guilty about not considering audiobooks as part of reading this is also part of my resolution to not let that feeling stop me from enjoying more books. I also used to fall in that group of people that would say listening to audiobooks is cheating but in the last year or so I would get in these slumps of reading but when I listened to the audiobooks it would get me over that slump. And as a mom, wife and having a full time job as well reading can be hard so audiobooks come in handy. Another good resolution I chose is to finish some series that I've had unfinished or read books I've has on my shelf for so long and have not got to lol. Anyway love this video. Happy reading/listening 😊

I can't believe you made it all the way through Bookmas!! I can only imagine the amount of work this took! I watched every single day. Every single video. Absolutely LOVE what you said about audiobooks 👏🏼 as a teacher, I don’t have nearly the amount of time I wish I had to devote to reading. Some days the only way I can read is listening to and from work. I hate that sometimes I’m made to feel like it doesn’t count!

You Had Me at Hola is such a cute read. I loved it so much and can't wait to read the other two Primas of Power books! Pachinko was on my TBR for YEARS and I finally read it in early 2022. I enjoyed it, I think I gave it 4 stars? but I have heard the audiobook is better. Great Alone is on my TBR for this coming year as well. I have read a few of Kristin Hannah's books and need to get to this one too!

Bookmas was so good this year! You did great Hailey! Girls of Paper of Fire--I read the whole trilogy in 2022, and its seriously SO GOOD! While I really loved the representation and fantasy elements, what I really loved was exploring traumitized girls learning how to take back their power. The author's note at the end was especially poignant!

Heck yeah, audiobooks are an amazing way to read books. I've started listening to audiobooks during my daily commutes at the end of last year and it has been an absolute game changer. I hardly get any time to actually sit down to read something that isn't for uni, so audiobooks have really helped me with getting back into reading. If I'm going to spend 2-3 hours sitting in a bus 5 times a week, why not use this time to listen to some awesome books. Also chores around the house suddenly got a lot more interesting XD

I finally took the leap and started KoA last week (after re reading tower of dawn and empire of storms) because it felt so stupid to have read all the other books in the series and not finish it ! And I have been LOVING it so much, returning to a world that I loved so much as a teen is so nostalgic and just brings back all the feels 🥰 and my friends can finally stop bugging me about reading it ;)

I love audiobooks!! I like to listen while reading the book. It helps me focus. I also love getting everyday chores done while listening to a good book.
