Tim Peake chased through ISS by a 'gorilla' | euronews 🇬🇧

Scott Kelly of NASA posted a video to Twitter today (24 February) showing himself and Tim Peake "monkeying around" on the International Space Station.

Kelly, who is coming to the end of a year-long mission aboard the station, tweeted to say that he: "Needed a little humor to lighten up a #YearInSpace”, along with a video in which he dresses up in a gorilla costume and chases Peake around.

For people complaining about the cost of sending a suit and how it is a waste of tax dollars ect. If you read Scott Kelley's book Endurance he explains that the suit was sent up by his brother, another astronaut, as part of his limited number of personal belongings that every astronaut gets sent up with them. His hope was to use it to bring kids interest to space and STEM. When vacuum packed the suit takes up a very small space in the cargo. Scott Kelley was also very conservative in what he brought and used. In his entire year in space he wore his clothes for as long as he could so in the end there would be extras left over ect. The guy was basically working non-stop for a year in a high intensity stress inducing environment where your life is on the line everyday and his brother wanted him to have some fun. For the sacrifices he has made as a navy test pilot I think he deserves to have some fun in space while engaging the public. Get over it.

You’re alone at the space station, working on whatever needs fixing or documentation. Everyone up here is of different nations and lifestyles. You know the jokes about being in space “oooo soooo scary”, but you also know about safety and how to take care of eachother.

Then one day you’re working in one of the halls when suddenly out of literally nowhere the impossible happens...
