I don’t get the point of the show when it should be an obvious choice between a house and one full day of celebration 💀 a house stays with you forever, a wedding ends after 24 hours.

My husband and I had a small informal ceremony in a park with immediate family then a nice brunch. We spent $2000 in total and regret nothing. My family lives 300 miles from his family and they had never had a chance before that to really get to know each other. We relocated for my husband's job 6 weeks later and had a down payment for our first house.

I think what will help people feel like a small wedding is still a big deal is hiring a professional photographer. A professional photographer can make a $100 dress look like a $5K dress. Photos of your close family that attends will be cherished, and you don’t need to invite all your friends (or anyone that isn’t family tbh).

That one woman wanted to start a family but she spent $30, 000 on their wedding, babies are very expensive even more than a mortgage.

I like watching the show I also choose house but some couple choose marriage and I would say but why would they choose that? but when I think about it they maybe have christian back ground or they need a firm foundation to start there life together? just thinking.
