3 Days in Istanbul What To Do

Day 1 : you can dedicate this whole day to explore the Historic Center of Istanbul, Sultanahmet. Situated at the Fatih District all the attractions are at walking distance so its just perfect to explore in one day.

You can start the day with Sultan Ahmet Mosque. Being the centre of attraction of Istanbul, it is also known as Blue Mosque. The sparkling beauty of the mosque will mesmerise you, when the morning sun strikes the domes. You can skip the line if you are early.

Just opposite to the Blue Mosque you will have Aya Sophia. The 6th century built Architectural master piece, on its 1400 year of life span has served as a cathedral, museum and now a mosque.

The breathtaking Ottoman Architecture of Aya Sophia makes it a must visit in your Istanbul trip itinerary.

Just behind the Aya Sophia you in 5 mins walk you can reach the Topkapi Palace. Located at the Historic peninsula of Istanbul, Topkapi Palace has been the heart of Ottoman Empire, and the residence of the Sultans, for over three centuries.

You can have your lunch in any of the beautiful restaurants and have a taste of Authentic Turkish Food at the Sultan Ahmet Area. After lunch you can visit some of the major attractions of the area Like, Basilica Cistern, Grand Palace Mosaics Museum and the Istanbul Archaeology Museums.

You can enjoy the afternoon having Turkish tea at any cafe and stroll around Sultanahmet square.

But reserve your evening for the sunset Bosphorus River Cruise with Dinner and entertainment show.

The Second Day is Shopping day. But we start with Sunrise at the most beautiful part of the city.

This is the Suleymaniye Mosque. Suleymaniye is One of the most visited place in Istanbul. This is a tribute to Sultan Suleyman the magnificent. Suleymaniye Mosque, crowning Istanbul’s highest hill, can easily be visible from almost every part of Istanbul.

At a 15 minutes walk from Suleymaniye you have The Grand Bazaar. This is One of the Two major Ancient Bazars in Istanbul. It’s a shopper's paradise, as you will be finding some of the antique and exceptional commodities, which can never be found anywhere else in the world.

At a walking distance from Grand Bazaar you will get to reach the second Bazaar, The Egyptian Bazar.

Built in 1664 the Egyptian bazaar is also known as Spice Bazaar. This is a place to find fresh supply of spices, nut, honeycomb, Turkish delight, dried figs, caviar, and mature hard Turkish cheese.

You can have your lunch at the Eminunu area. There are some exclusive restaurants where you can have a wonderful dine out.

After lunch take a walk to the Galata bridge. And stroll around the Galata port. From their you can hike unto the Galata Tower or you can take the Shuttle to Galata form Galata port.

Galata tower is one of the most beautiful place to visit in Istanbul and you can never miss an afternoon snap in front of Galata tower.

Walk down the Galata tower and enjoy the ever bustling Istiklala Street. Take a walk through the Istiklala and its allays. Istiklal is loaded with thousands of shops and restaurants. Walk till you reach Taksim Square and have your dinner here at istiklala. You will have your life’s best food here in Istanbul.

You can start the Day 3 with the mesmerising view of Bosphorus Bridge in front of the Ortaköy Mosque. Rush there at early in the morning to skip the crowd and enjoy the breath taking Ortaköy. The view of White Marble finished Mosque on the bank of Bosphorus is just amazing.

Next stop is Dolmabahce Palace. Dolmabahce is turkey’s largest mono-block palace. Extraordinary architecture and bank of Bosporus makes it one of the must visit in istanbul. Getting out from Dolmabahce have a coffer in Dolmabahce Cafes with the view of Bosphorus Asian Part of the city.

On third day its your time to explore the Asian site of Istanbul. You can start with visiting the Çamlıca Mosque. This is one of the most beautiful mosque in Istanbul.

Then you go to visit the Maiden’s Tower at the afternoon. Maiden’s Tower is one of the most Spectacular place to visit in Istanbul. Plan to spend your evening with Turkish tea at the Uskudar Coast Walk way. Experience the Most stunning Sunset of your lifetime have the sun setting from the behind of Sultan Ahmet Blue Mosque.

The beauty of Istanbul is really mesmerizing🥰. But in my perspective, three days are not enough to see the original beauty of Istanbul. Of course you can cover many places in three days but while you are traveling there, you need to relax and feel the beauty.
