I love how VHT is managing to find their spot in the market. They really deserve more attention. Their Ultra 6, for example, is an absolutely brilliant little amp, that has the sound and feel of an amp that costs 4 3 times as much

This is a really cool idea, an easy way to jam with Bias or similar, but 16 or 30 solid state watts doesn't seem nearly enough to play live with a drummer. Next year keep the 16w bedroom version and replace the other two versions with a 300w or 400w stage version. Add a second speaker out and add a powered USB jack. I don't know how long an iPad mini or phone will run a modelling app on battery power but I'm guessing you're going to want to plug it in somewhere.

I prefer seeing Charles doing NAMM coverage. He's far less dry and abrupt with the interviewee and he's able to conduct a conversational interview that is far more enjoyable and entertaining to watch because his passion and interest is infectious as opposed to this robotic style of interviewing, it's unfortunate to say

It's like any other digital tube preamp hybrid amp, but this time you bring your own digital effects. Cool idea, but personally nothing beats a tube power section. You'll never recreate (not yet anyways) the natural sound with a didgital power section.

Hell I'd take a standard Vht head over this

I say just get a Stomp Box from IK Multimedia, that way you can have whatever amp you want and still use you iPad/iPhone.

3 layers of processing:
1.) the app or soft algorythm
2.) the digital to analog output on the tablet or PC
3.) the tone circuit layer

No wonder there's latency issues. Why didn't they develop their own app and avoid the audio transport layer by just using a data cable like usb instead of an audio cable ? There should only be settings data transferred from the computer to the amp, not an actual audio signal. This is a very poor performance design.
