In this video, we show you how to get around Copenhagen, Denmark using every method of transportation besides the car. Copenhagen is a great city to explore car-less and we show you exactly why.

We highlight every form of public transportation in Copenhagen as we journey from CPH Airport to Reffen, Copenhagen's largest street food park. We do this by making use of the Tog or train system, the metro, the public bus network, the waterbus or ferry, and of course biking and walking part of the journey. Along the way we give you our tips for transportation and everything you need to know to before you visit Copenhagen. We also show you some beautiful views of the city along the way.

It's easy to get around Copenhagen and we show you just how easy in this video. Whether you use public transportation, rent a bike, or walk - navigating the city is easy, clean, and efficient.

As a resident (and transport nerd) of Copenhagen, i know a lot about the public transport. Here's 3 facts that i often get the "u wot" in british train people i know:

The Ansaldo Breda (Now Hitatchi Rail Italy) Driverless Metro trains, were first introduced in here in Copenhagen in 2002. Since then, they've made the same model for other cities, such as Milano in Italy and soon, Toronto in Canada. Currently, we have generation 1 running on M1 and M2, Generation 5 on M3 and M4, and Generation 6 on M1 and M2. (The latter entered service last year)

The Train you rode from the Airport to Ørestad station, is the Øresundståg, the last train built of the Flexliner family, originaly invented by DSB Design Architects in the 1980s.

Within this design, is the IC3 DMU and the IR4 EMU. The two can couple into one consist, making DSB the ONLY train operator in the world to have Diesel trains and Electric trains coupled in one consist on a daily basis, and has done so for over 20 years!

Just a few of many facts i know about our unique public transport system

I've been to Copenhagen every year ( other than COVID years) since 2018 and LOVE the public transportation system. I'm excited to show my partner what it's all about when we visit at the end of June. His first time to Europe.

Great plug for CPH! No needs for car. Fun Metro facts: it’s one of only three or four 24/7/365 metro’s in the world, it was built with skylights to make it feel safer (not descending into the underground- and it works), it does not have a holding area below as you walk directly to/from the platform to either your train or back up (again making it much safer - no long unsavoury tunnels etc.), it has the shortest distance from street entrance to train door of any metro in the world.

One of the advantages of living in Copenhagen is that you don't need a car to get around. You can get from A to B in no time by bus/train/boat. Cars are quite expensive here in Copenhagen compared to the US and sometimes costs as much as renting a place. I live in the Copenhagen area and have never owned a car and don't plan to own one.

I simply love your channel! I'm moving to Denmark from Peru in a couple of months and your videos are a great support. I'm more used to the US culture and lifestyle (I used to live in the states for a while), so the perspective helps a lot. I'm going to be in Aarhus (studying at AU), and I'm sure this adventure is going to be much easier thanks to you! The best of luck!

Thank you for telling about the bike rules, much appreciated 👍It is also possible to take a bicycle with you on all public transport if you get tired of cycling even on buses, but be aware, it is the bus driver who decides whether there is space for your bicycle or not. However, there is a time frame, such as rush hour, when this is not possible. This video was good and informative 👍🙂
Could you make a video about how Copenhagen got house numbers? It could be a great help to tourists in Copenhagen, who don't know the city. The house numbers are set up in a clever way, so it makes it easier to find your way around. 😉

Another great video from the best! PS: you should have mentioned that busses, metro and trains are clean and mostly well-kept. ;-)

A great video. As a bit of a public transport nerd, I was geeking out all over the place at these great transit options. Sadly, I live in a very car-dependent city, so thanks for sharing the highlights of your adopted town. Plus the bucket of beer!

As an American, our public transport is not as efficient/accessible, so I find trying to navigate transportation in different countries a little intimidating. I’m planning a trip for later this month, so this video was very informative and helpful. Thank you!!
