4020s I was taught by an old deere mechanic to hold it wide open, when it picks up, back it down to idle. no need to give her the can. works just fine till about freezing or just below.

Tbh it sounds like the engine got a lot of hours 😂, we have a few with hard wear from when we use to plow a lot, tranny is shit at the speeds they used 😂
