The Japanese, much like the Chinese and all the rest of East Asia, has what's known as "face culture". "Face culture" is where they don't want to "lose face" which basically means they don't want to lose any perceived social value. Appearance is all that matters, it's basically an extreme form of "keeping up with the Joneses" that we have in America. So basically, if you want to endear yourself to Japanese people, never do anything that could potentially put them in a situation where they'll "lose face", and always placate their ego. Is it childish? yes, it is, but face culture is in itself a childish, superficial mindset.

To be frank and honest, Chase has great input and experience in Japan. Whether your Black, South East Asian, South American, or European, you will have a different experience. There will be Advantages and Disadvantages. Just the honest truth.

Chase speaking facts again. As a person of colour, God forbid I ever bring up to a Japanese person anything related to the discrimination I face in Japan. The funniest thing is when I point out the concept of tatamae and honne. They hate it! But then again, I meet those rare Japanese that agree with me. Those are the real ones and the ones I hang around. It takes a real Japanese to sober themselves and realize the bad parts of the country. These are the same Japanese that want to move abroad as soon as possible.

Chase, you forgot to mention the one major (non-)compliment that they practically drool over: the four seasons and how beautiful they are. For some reason the Japanese believe they're pretty much the only country in the world that has four distinct seasons (???)

Chase is spot on with this one. You gotta kiss alot of ass here if you wanna be on there good side lol. It works well though if you wanna move with the waves here smoothly, just tell them what they wanna here then they love you never speak bad things about their country to them they will avoid you like the plague and talk about you if you do. Also they do believe only they can speak their language and it shocks them to the core when they know your fluent in the langauge i know this from experience. They don't realize that the human brain is pre programmed to learn any language with enough effort and devotion, the funny thing is they borrowed many many words from english and other european languages because the Japanese language actually lacks many words for certain things and situations.great vid bro 💪💪

Man this is so real, I’ve been here for country side and I tend to approach everything so different.

The people seem too damn prideful and if you see it long enough you will breathe the air and realize they don’t actually want you

I noticed a difference in jawlines. Chinese people tend to have rounder faces than Japanese people on average. Double eyelids, and narrower noses seem more common too. I think it's the Jomon genetics that only the Japanese have.

Just learn their native language. Not just only Japan, but learning any country native tongue you will have many friends.

I found it funny while I was there that many young Japanese ladies would cue their fashion and makeup style to mimic Korean women. Chinese ladies would mimic the Japanese ladies style.

They have Uber here 😅 I used it so many times. But it's connected to already existing official taxi companies.
