To all the people who are saying why should they care about it.
You don't need to be celebrating it too as it's netiher a festival nor a social service but it does helps India's reputation, it's in favor of good business, it's great publicity and breaks the stigmas that other countries have about india, it's happening in india so it's good for indian businesses because we always see normal people following celebrities, but celebrities follow the super elite .
It also highlights indian culture as foreigners love the atmosphere and lavishness of indian weddings.
And lastly you can think of it as the indian met gala and such, those american galas too don't do anybody any good but it does the american economy and businesses a lot of good.
