War Thunder's Sound Mod Ban

With the impending release of War Thunder's Ixwa Strike update, Gaijin has decided to ban the use of sound mods in tank realistic / simulator battles. This decision comes as a result of competitive players using a sound mod exploit to win a live tournament. I personally think it's an ill-advised decision, since a large portion of the playerbase uses harmless sound mods that simply improve the sound experience., and surely there are some ways to keep mods while still preventing people from exploiting them.

So they ban the sound mods, but ingame there's literally an option to lower YOUR engine volume and increase the ENEMY engine volume.

The Linux version of the game does not even have anti-cheat
Edit: The game still has anti-cheat and EAC has linux support, but EAC appears to skip pre-launch checks and I can not see any evidence that it is running at all.

They should do like WG, and make mod client where they can verify legal mods. Would def be a good solution.

I like how sound mods are the priority while you can still turn off all the grass in settings and basically negate the advantage of enemies who would usually be extremely hard to spot.
