Hey! I’m an EE student at ODU right now!

My experience with physics 1 and 2 was very different than what he said. Granted, I had a Dr. Weygand, who is nothing like the professors he’s talking about. If you go to ODU, for the love of God, avoid Dr. Weygand.
The man threw PDE and surface integrals at people with only single variable Calc under their belts.

I swear the more I watch your videos and the more I dive into my physics courses, the more I want to change my major from electrical engineering to physics, but my school is a lot more emphasized on engineering and has a much smaller physics department.


But I am 100% planning on doing grad school, so I'm sure I'll be able to transition into some more theoretical stuff that I might enjoy more from my EE degree. So there's always that!

I just finished school and I am planning to do a physics major, but not many people take that and everyone around me is telling me I shouldn't take it because I wasn't at the top of my class.

I’m not sure if you’d know but i’m going to ask anyway. I’m thinking of doing a double major in math and physics, so does ODU have a major in general math? The closest thing I can find on their website is ”Applied math” but I don’t exactly want to do applied. Is it just a misleading label or is there really no general math major at ODU?

I am going to ODU and am completing PHYS 232N now. I think the coolest thing about this university is the ability to practice what you learn. Also, Dr. Cook is a great introduction into PHYS 231. Best of luck out in the west!

I'm going to odu as a transfer student from tcc this upcoming autumn. I'm going to have a general AS. Do you know what the typical hoops the transfer students had to go though?
